My Dark and Stormy Night (Dark Link X Reader)

Rain crashed against the glass window to my house. It was like people shooting paint balls with paint guns against the glass.
Lightening flashed and lit the whole sky, revealing the gray clouds that covered the moon's night light.

I laid in the bed. Staring up into the ceiling of nothingness. I know this is gonna be a long night, I thought.

Light flashed into the window, making me swing the covers over my whole body. Uuh! My eyes! I tried to nod off under the covers, but a lightening bolt striked a nearby tree right by my house, lighting up my whole room. Roaring thunder came right after, and it's booming sound waves shook the whole place as if an avalanche just started not too far away.

"Geh! That's it!" With one swipe the covers were off the bed, and I shot out of bed."I'm going to his room for the night!"

One guy would visit from time to time, but only for the safety of shelter. Of course, I didn't mind.

A whistle blower blew leaves into the air into vortexes and mini tornadoes. It rained harder than in an actual rainforest would produce.

I was just reading a book to calm my nerves, and ignore the furious storm. But it's so hard to focus on reading because of the annoying pitter pattering outside.

My ears detected three booms, and I decided to duck for cover under a couch, but it then I noticed it was only from the door.

I slid out of the couch, got to the door, unlocked the hook to it, and swung the door open."Oh, hello."

It was a hyrulian with "red as blood" eyes. He had gray slick gray hair, but moppy from all the water dripping on it.

Poor thing, I thought, what's he doing out here in such dangerous weather.

"I'm j-"

"Please come on in," despite his demonic features, I step aside, and encouraged him to come in with a welcoming, toothy smile.

"Oh...Well. I'll be spinning the night here," he mumbled as he headed towards the guest room.
"Do you need a towel, or?"

SLAM!

The silverette shut the door close. And that was all.
"Or...just nothing I guess..."

The next morning, I got out of bed. And checked on him,"Hello, yah there?" I opened the guest room door.

Nothing.

He must of left right after the storm died down.

This happened multiple times when storms. He would enter, and only nod at me, and go to the guest room. Wordless.

Sometimes I would try to sneak in a conversation and ask him where did come from, how's it going, and other questions. but it will always ended with a door slam.

I dashed through the dark hallways, and swang the door."Don't mind if I stay here?" My lips curled into a "please let me stay" crooked grin.

"W-what?" The hyrulian was sitting on the bed, polishing his sword with a napkin."He-"

Boom! Flash!

"Eek!" I just jumped over him, and crawled under

"Hey! What are you... Fine, I guess you can stay," he said.

"Thanks... By the way, I didn't get your name?" I poked my head out of the covers.

"Dark Link... I suppose. That's what everyone calls me," The silverette mumbled. He looks into the reflection of himself on his sword, and then gave a quick exhale."Mind as well pass the time by talking. What's your alias?"

"Oh," I got up."It's (name)."

"Ah... You live alone?"

"Yep, juuust me!" I sang, trying to make things cheery. "You do too?"

"Of course I do," he murmured while trying to wipe a speck of dirt off of the tip of his sword."I do travel alone for my safety, but you're company is ok in my standards."

"That's nice."

Me and him went on and on and on. We snuck in a couple of jokes until it became common. Naturally. I never expect humor coming from a lonesome fellow.

"So I was like in the store one day, and at the cash register a man was saying all these horrible things to the cashier. I mean, the cashier already had a terrible day already," I said.

"Mhm, go on," he nodded.

"So I stepped in front of the guy, and said,'SHUT YO ASS UP!'" I waved my finger.

"Hahaha! SHUT Y- haha!" The dark hyrulian's fit of laughter was so strong that it cancelled any words to come out of his mouth.

"The next thing y'know. Zoom! He was gone in a snap. I bet he was like,'Nuh! Nuh! Nuh!'... Hehe," I giggled alongside the hyrulian.

"Haha... eheha, eehuu!" He coughs onto his shoulder. His face was all red... Well you probably can't see it redening, but you can see the tip of his ears becoming pink.

After coughing, a smile appeared before me. It was of pure happiness and enjoyment.

Never have I seen such a bright, toothy smile in my life. It's like he hasn't been this way before...

(Play music for dramatic effect)

"I love you!" I sang playfully and laughed, and punched Dark Link on the arm, but not much force to harm him.

All of the sudden that smile had disappeared. Clean off.
The hyrulian turned away from me, and slumped over."No."

"Hm?"

"No," The hyrulian said. His tone deep, rough as sand paper "How could you love a demon? What's wrong with you?" No, that's not what I wanted to say!, he thought."You're sick in the head, horrible, a weirdo to like someone like me..."

Why?! Why is he doing this?! I was only...But I do love you... Ever since I saw you're rosy orbs, flowing silver hair, and charming smile..

My heart bounced off all of ribs in my chest, running rapid as if it was trying to out run the wind outside."I-I just," I couldn't even finish my own sentence. A lump in my throat formed as tears began to overflow my eyes. Nothing can describe what rollercoaster of feelings I'm experiencing.

I got out of the bed, and headed for the door.

"Wait!" Dark Link grabbed my hand, and pulled me straight into his arms for a tight embrace. He used his one hand to press my head against his chest. I could hear his heart throbbing..."I'm sorry..."

Now he's apologizing?!...But he feels so warm. I can't take it. The lightening and thunder only added more to the discomfort.

I broke free from him, and placed my back against the wall. I took a few exhale before I opened the door, and dashed into my room while.

The dark hyrulian winced as I slam the door. He then slammed his fist against the wooden bed set."Damnit..." He sighed, and clenched the bridge of his nose.
I huddled in the corner, sobbing and weeping with no control.

Dark Link made his way to my door."(N-name) I'm sorry... honesty from my heart... Everyday, I'm an outcast. Rejected. Terrorized. Beaten. Just because 'they' assume that I'm some kind of monster. So I spend my time alone in the forest."

"But when you opened the door on that stormy night, you didn't judge me at all. I was... flattered, and felt acceptance, but since I haven't been treated this way before, I've grown into a shy person. So I headed straight for the room."

I stayed huddled in the corner. Tears didn't roll down my cheeks anymore.

"You were just so beautiful. Inside and out. One day, I cried... I cried because I thought I would never have a woman like you..."

No reply.

He let out a sigh as he leaned against the door.

The door had swinged open.

"Hey Dark Link. Woah!" The hyrulian fell into my arms.

He blushed so hard that you might mistake his face and neck for an apple,"(Name)!" Dark Link jolted out of my arms."I-I'm sorry! I-"

I only giggled, a nervous smile crept to my cheeks,"No, no. It's ok. People make mistakes all the time." I rubbed my elbow.

He let his eyes wonder around the room, but not for a goal of sight,"Th-thanks so much for all of this... It's best that I go..."

Before he could start walking out the door, I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Hm?" He turned to face me.

"I didn't say that you have to go."

"So you enjoy to be accompanied by a demon?" He cocked his head to the side.

"Link, you're not a demon or monster. You're an awesome guy, and you should know that...And I love you!" I hugged him.

"Uh! I love you too (name), and I will always be your guardian angel!" He returns the embrace by wrapping his arms around my waist.

I gave a soft chuckle,"And I will be your dark and stormy knight."

He grabbed a piece of my (color of hair), and let them flicker through his fingers. He then placed his whole hand on the back of my head.

I wrapped my arms around his neck.

We pulled eachother closer and closer...

Then. A lightening bolt flashed across the sky. Forming a shadow... A shadow.... A shadow of two forms clinging on to one another as they kissed on eachother's lips. More passionate than an actual passion fruit.

Our hearts emitted a wonderful feeling. A feeling of a spark, and love. We were more happier than a person winning 100k dollars. Because love is more than that. It's so much more... It's a thing all living things can't live without...
